## Chinese SIM cards

On most Android phones, TikTok will not work if you have a Chinese SIM card. Remove the SIM card (or disable it in the SIM manager) if you want to use TikTok on Android.

### Technical background

Android has two functions that apps can use to determine your SIM card- or Mobile Network country:

* getSimCountryIso
* getNetworkCountryIso

Current Android versions do not provide any option to block apps from using these functions.

## v2rayNG

To get TikTok to work with v2rayNG, you may have to add a custom route. Please follow along with our [YouTube video](https://youtube.com/shorts/hOEB45aTOtU).
