title: Outbounds
description:
---

12VPX NEO connects to each server over several paths at once. Each path is
called an outbound. The app measures how well every outbound performs and
automatically sends your traffic over the best ones. The Outbounds table
shows what the app sees.

| Column | Meaning |
|---|---|
| **Outbound** | The app's internal name for this path. |
| **Transport** | The protocol this path uses to reach the server. |
| **Endpoint** | The server IP address and port this path connects to. |
| **Status** | How healthy the path is right now. See below. |
| **Active** | Connections going through this path at this moment. |
| **OK** | Connections that succeeded since you connected. |
| **Fail** | Connections that failed since you connected. |
| **Latency** | Average response time in milliseconds. Lower is better. |
| **Down** | Recent download speed measured on this path. |
| **Up / Down** | Total data sent and received through this path. |

### Status

- **ok**: the last connection succeeded. The path is healthy.
- **degraded**: one recent connection failed. The app still uses this
  path but prefers healthier ones.
- **cooldown**: two or more connections failed in a row. The app stops
using this path for about a minute, then tries it again. If the retry
works, the status returns to ok.

A degraded or cooldown status on one path is normal and does not affect
your connection. The app switches to the other paths automatically. Only
when every path is in cooldown will you notice a problem, and the app
keeps retrying until one recovers.
