Chinese SIM cards

On most Android phones, TikTok will not work if you have a Chinese SIM card. Remove the SIM card (or disable it in the SIM manager) if you want to use TikTok on Android.

Technical background

Android has two functions that apps can use to determine your SIM card- or Mobile Network country:

• getSimCountryIso
• getNetworkCountryIso

Current Android versions do not provide any option to block apps from using these functions.
