Under normal circumstances the 12VPX updater automatically uninstalls the old version, then installs the new version.
Unfortunately some 3rd-party apps, like CCleaner, break the uninstaller of the old version.
To resolve this, there are two things you can try:
#1 Old 12VPX Installer
If you still have the installer for the old 12VPX version, you can run that. It will give you the option to repair or uninstall the old version. Choose uninstall.
#2 Microsoft Troubleshooter
If you don't have the old 12VPX installer anymore, or it didn't work as expected, you can use Microsoft's install & uninstall troubleshooter.
- Download the troubleshooter
- Run the troubleshooter
- Click Next
- Choose Uninstalling
- Select 12VPX 1.30.0 from the list and click Next
- Choose Yes, try uninstall
- Click Close
- 12VPX is now uninstalled
- Download the latest 12VPX version from our website
- Run the installer for the latest 12VPX version
