Settings

Account & Subscription

  • Subscription: This is where you paste your Subscription URL. Click Update to refresh the server list.
  • Device ID: This is a unique identifier. An overview of your devices can be found in your account on this website.
  • Account: Various information regarding your 12VPX account.

Appearance

Linux, Mac and Windows only.

Allow you to select a language and color theme.

Network

  • Capture Mode: Selects how traffic is captured.

    • TPROXY: Preferred on Linux and OpenWRT. Supports Full Tunnel, Exclude local China, AI Routing and Rocket Config modes.
    • TUN: Preferred on all other platforms. Supports Full Tunnel, Exclude local China, AI Routing and Rocket Config modes.
    • Proxy Only: Does not capture anything, but acts solely as a proxy. Supports Full Tunnel mode only.

  • Restore Connection on Startup: Remembers whether you wanted to be connected or not, and acts accordingly.

  • LAN Proxy Access: Creates a proxy on your LAN that other devices can use. Typically used for game handelds/consoles.

  • DNS Leak Protection: Tries to prevent leaking DNS requests to non-VPN DNS servers.

    • Full Tunnel: All requests, except for domains listed in Exclusions, use VPN DNS.
    • Exclude local China:
      • Enabled: Chinese domains use Chinese DNS. Non-Chinese or unknown domains use VPN DNS.
      • Disabled: All domains use Chinese DNS.
    • AI Routing: Like Full-Tunnel, but the AI may additionally query Chinese DNS during its learning process.
    • Rocket Config: Like Full-Tunnel, unless the Rocket Config prescribes otherwise.

  • LAN Access: Allows other computers on your LAN to remote-control your 12VPX NEO.

Routing Rules

  • Router Mode: This mode should be enabled on OpenWRT routers or PCs that act as dedicated routers. If you're unsure, leave it disabled.
  • Exclusions: Want to make sure a domain name or IP address never uses the VPN? Add it to this list.
  • Inclusions: Want to make sure a domain name or IP address always uses the VPN? Add it to this list.
  • What goes through the VPN: The 12VPX NEO app can operate in 4 different modes:
    • Full Tunnel: Everything goes through the VPN.
    • Exclude local China: Chinese sites and addresses stay off the VPN. Everything else goes through it.
    • AI Routing: Available on Linux, Mac and Windows only. Decides per connection and learns as it goes. Built for use from inside China.
    • Rocket Config: An imported rule list decides, including what happens to traffic it does not name.

Remote Control

If you enabled remote control in the Network settings, this is where you configure a username and password.

About

Displays version and platform information. This can be helpful when contacting support.
